"Seven Things Buhari/Osinbajo will do" - APC Campaign team

"Chess-Master 2015, said "Decisions have consequences", he is right.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, a non-executive member of the famous Citi-group is now Nigeria's Vice-President, The VP was one of the Speakers for Poju Oyemade's May 1st workers' day jaw-jaw in Abuja under The PLATFORM at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) International Conference Centre, Jahi. The Vice President in that event narrated a journey he had with the President Muhammadu Buhari during the recently concluded political campaigns. Inside the car, the VP was asked, "What can you see on their faces?" Excitement! the VP replied. "No.", PMB told him, "Look again?" he urge, and again the VP replied "They are happy, that's why they are shouting "sey Baba! sey Chanji.". And again PMB says, "No, What is on their faces is that they expect us to solve all their problems in two (2) days when we come in!"

It was from this background that Professor Osinbajo, Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria began his talk, "This Country needs immediate fixing... With change comes very high expectation... Nigeria needs one stop shop as solution point... Our people are completely cut off from the main stream of governance."

The VP sure knows this country and fervently believes that the creation and management of industrial parks, technological parks/gardens and righting the wrongs in the entertainment industry as well as protecting copyrights will be his focus. Aside his personal inclination, the present government promise to deliver on 7(seven) key issues during their campaigns. In what it called "Seven Things Buhari/Osinbajo will do" the APC campaign team categorically placed:

-  the creation of 740,000 jobs within the first one year, graduates will be paid stipends for 1year under a vocational scheme where they will be trained on entrepreneurial and work place readiness.

- It said it will provide Universal Basic Healthcare with N500 naira annual contribution per family in the National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) while "APC Government pays the balance.

- Among other things the campaign promise of one meal a day for children in public primary schools while their parents are to receive monthly direct cash transfer of NGN5,000 to "25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens, if they immunize children and enroll them in school"

- The government, it said will generate, transmit and distribute electricity on a 24/7 basis whilst simultaneously ensuring the development of sustainable/renewable energy by 2019.

- lastly, the campaign promises Nigerians if brought to power, "will embark on a National Infrastructural Development Programme as a public private partnership that will ensure 5,000km of superhighway including service trunks

- as well as building of up to 6,800km of modern railway to be completed in 2019

- and the completion of commercial airports in all the 36 states.

The promise indeed is great and between Professor Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari is packed the dynamite that will either bloom or burst.

Please this is not another 7-Points Agenda, we mean 7 Key Issues! Can you spot the difference?

We hope that this decision works for the good of all.
